Professor Miloš Mařík focuses on business valuation and the Czech valuation standards. He is the founder of the minor specialisation 1OC Valuation of a Business and its Assets (2000) and the major specialisation FO Finance and Business Valuation (2006). He is the author or co-author of a number of professional publications, some of which have been given various publications awards or are used as college textbooks for business valuation courses. Professor Mařík was the Director of the Institute of Property Valuation at the Prague University of Economics and Business (1995-2026), and the Head of the Certification Institute at the Prague University of Economics and Business (1998-2022). As a founder, Professor Mařík chairs since 2008 the Editorial Board of the peer-reviewed scientific journal “Oceňování” (Valuation Journal). He holds Commemorative Medal of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting. Outside the Prague University of Economics and Business, Professor Mařík served as the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Minister of Justice for economy-related expertise issues.
