Ing. Hlaváč Jiří, Ph.D.

Jiří Hlaváč is a graduate of the University of Economics, Prague in the field of Accounting and Financial Business Management (Ing.) and postgraduate study (Ph. D.). Since 2002, he has been a partner in the TPA group, member of the international network Baker Tilly International. Jiří is an auditor, tax advisor and a court appointed expert in the field of economy, accounting records, tax and tax issues, pricing between related parties (transfer pricing) and prices and estimates, with a specialisation on business valuation. He has a long-lasting interest in valuation, transaction structuring, merger and acquisition projects and restructuring. He is a member of the corporate income tax section of the KDP ČR and an examining commissioner appointed by the Minister of Justice for examination of insolvency administrators. Since 2004, he lectures at the University of Economics, Prague. He also co-operates as a lecturer with several educational agencies and publishes in professional journals. He is the author of the book “Mergers and Acquisitions – the Process of Buying and Selling Businesses”, published in 2010 and 2016, and the co-author of commentary on the Act on Income Tax and commentary on the Act on Transformations, published by Wolters Kluwer Publishing House. Within the competition Taxman & Tax Firm of the Year, he was pronounced the best tax star in the Mergers & Acquisitions’ category in the years 2014 through 2016.
