Minor specializition 1OC

The minor in Business Valuation aims to provide students with comprehensive theoretical knowledge and basic skills necessary for the practice of business valuation, including the skills to communicate with specialists in valuing the main components of a company’s assets. Students will also deepen their knowledge in areas such as marketing, accounting, and corporate finance.

The internal structure of the specialisation builds on the positive experiences from courses offered by the Prague University of Economics and Business, specifically the Institute of Asset Valuation, for those interested in becoming appraisers focused on valuing businesses. Such education is one of the requirements for obtaining a certificate as an asset appraiser in the field of business valuation, which is issued, for example, by the Czech Chamber of Appraisers or the Institute of Asset Valuation at the Prague University of Economics and Business.

The acquired knowledge and skills can be applied by graduates in the self-contained profession of court experts and appraisers specialising in business valuation or as employees of appraisal organisations, banks, and other institutions where a deeper understanding of corporate finance and business value is required. The acquired knowledge can also be useful for work in the field of corporate finance.

Information and current study plans can be found on the website of the Faculty of Finance and Accounting.
