Radana Šmídová is a graduate of the Prague University of Economics and Business, where she also completed her postgraduate studies and in 2009 was awarded the doctorate (Ph.D.) degree. She specialises in lecturing the courses on financial analysis and corporate business planning, business valuation, investment decision-making and long-term financing, and corporate finance. Radana lectures for the Prague International Business School, MBA programmes at the Prague University of Economics and Business, the Institute of Property Valuation, and the Czech Dental Academy. Since 2008, Radana has been the Editor-in-Chief of the peer-reviewed scientific periodical “Valuation Journal”. She also assumes the responsibilities as a test opponent at the Institute of Certification of Accountants and the Chamber of Auditors of the Czech Republic. In praxis, she is involved in calculations and management for dentists and valuation of medical practices. Radana prefers to spend her leisure time in nature doing outdoor activities or by the piano.
