Michael Almasy graduated from the bachelor’s programme Economic Theory at the University of Economics, Prague in 2009 and in 2011 he subsequently completed the follow-up master’s degree programme “Finance and Accounting for Common Europe”, organised jointly by 4 European universities. For 9 years, he has worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers. At the beginning of 2017, he left the position of the Audit Manager for KWD Bohemia, where he works as the Head of Economy Department (Chief Financial Officer). He has completed and holds a membership in ACCA. In his research, Michael focuses on the impact of accounting methods on financial, i.e. microeconomic, decision-making, their potential distortions of presented reality, and subsequent impacts on the macroeconomic environment. He is fluent in Czech, English and partially German.
